The 2024's Olympic Village is supposed to a space where athletes can relax and socialize. Because of this, athletes are also expected to personally know each other, and because of this, friendship can happen, and that relationship beyond that is also possible.
At the venue that is also called the Village olympique de Saint-Denis, there is no definitive criteria on how to dress. In fact, even sex isn't officially "banned" in the Village.
The organizers at the Olympics expect the difficulties to control the athletes, as many of them are young, physically fit, far from home, and often single. Having them living in close quarters means that it can be pretty difficult to contain all those raging hormones.
But because the organizers want athletes to focus solely on their athletic performance in their respective field, and not have their minds wonder around, they want to keep distractions to a very minimum.
Among other reasons, this is why an Olympian from Paraguay is sent home.

Luana Alonso was born in 2004 in Asunción, Paraguay, and that she competed in the women's 100 meter butterfly event.
Having multiple Paraguayan records in the butterfly discipline as a track record, and had previously competed at the World Aquatics Championships in Budapest, Hungary and at the South American Games in Asuncion, Paraguay in 2022.
With her achievements, Luana was more than qualified for the 2024 Olympics Games.
In fact, the Paris Olympics is Luana's second time being an Olympian. Before this, she competed in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, representing Paraguay when she was only 17-years-old.
Unfortunately for Luana, her ambition in Paris was cut short when she finished 0.24 seconds behind Georgia's Ana Nizharadze, putting her in 6th in her heat, and 29th overall.
What this means, she failed to qualify for the semifinals.
Knowing that her destiny is not having any medal, Luana announced that she is retiring from competitive swimming.
But there is more where that came from.
Not only the lost that saddened her, but because of other reasons that seemingly came simultaneously.
It all began when Luana is said to have dressed inappropriately in the Village, according to the Olympics officials.

At the Seine-Saint-Denis (Île-de-France) venue, which is specifically built for the athletes of the 2024 Summer Olympics and the 2024 Summer Paralympics in Paris, Luana is said to have worn revealing clothes that exposed her body indecently and was socializing extensively with other athletes, creating an inappropriate atmosphere.
An email from the Olympics officials to Luana stated she was "distracting other competitors with her skimpy choices and socializing."
Additionally, she was seen wearing an outfit not in line with the official kit provided by Paraguay.

Athletes who are no longer qualified for their events are still allowed to stay at the Olympic Village.
And so could Luana, before she started a commotion within the Olympics Village and beyond.
"Her presence is creating an inappropriate atmosphere within Team Paraguay. We thank her for proceeding as instructed, as it was of her own free will that she did not spend the night in the Athletes' Village," a statement from Larissa Schaerer, the head of the COP mission, reads.
It was on August 5, when Luana was asked to officially leave the Olympic Village.
After she was personally informed, Luana complied with the request and chose not to spend the night in the Athletes' Village any longer, and instead relocated to a hotel.

But after that, knowing that she is no longer qualified, and that she also couldn't stay with her team and other athletes at the Village, Luana was found having some me-time in the capital of France, visiting a number of Parisian landmarks, including the Eiffel Tower and Disneyland.
She is also seen indulging herself into some quality time, like having a glass of champagne, shopping, and eating some local delicacies.
Doing what she did, reports suggest that Luana caused further upset.
The Paraguayan committee was further infuriated when she was found wondering around, instead of supporting her teammates.
"As she stopped, she began to behave in an individualistic way and not as a member of the team. That's what made the other athletes and the delegation uncomfortable,” a Paraguayan Olympic committee representative said.
Luana denied the allegations, addressing the situation on her Instagram Stories, and labeling the circulating information as "false."
"I just wanted to make it clear that I was never removed or expelled from anywhere," Luana clarified on her Instagram, refusing to let the rumors affect her.
"I don't want to make any statement but I'm not going to let lies affect me either," Luana said.
Making matters worse, a local Paraguayan news agency reported that Luana had expressed her reluctance to represent Paraguay on a livestream prior to the Games, and had put more interest in representing the U.S..
She also expressed frustration over the ongoing speculation, particularly regarding her choice of attire in the Olympic Village, where she was criticized for not wearing official team gear.
The culmination of these, is when Luana finally addressed her desire to just leave her career as a competitive swimmer, but is doing that under her own will.
Luana shocked fans when she announced her retirement.
"It's official now! I'm retiring from swimming, thank you all so much for the support! Sorry Paraguay, I only have to thank you," she said on social media.
In an Instagram Story that followed this, Luana suggests she has since flew back to the U.S., where she attends college at the Southern Methodist University near Dallas, Texas.
But what really caught headlines, is the news about the blonde bombshell turning way too many heads.
Luana, a talented Paraguayan swimmer, captivated her social media followers with stunning photos.
One of which, is her in a two-piece green bikini.
In a series of photos, she showcased her chiseled abdominal muscles during an outdoor shower, and her physically fit physique by posing by a swimming pool.
In the photos, Luana also shows how she followed some other Olympians, in which she commemorated her participation in the Games by having the Olympic rings tattoo. In her case. she has her hip tattooed with it, which she proudly displayed.
The 20-year-old athlete has been making headlines since then.
Due to her sultry snaps on Instagram, Luana has been making headlines for more than just her swimming skills.
Swimming is a big part of her life, and in the U.S. she swims for the Dallas Mustangs.
Speaking about retiring, Alonso said: "Swimming: thank you for allowing me to dream, you taught me to fight, to try, perseverance, sacrifice, discipline and many more.
"I gave you part of my life and I don't change it for anything in the world because I lived the best experiences of my life, you gave me thousands of joys, friends from other countries that I will always carry them in my heart, unique opportunities.
"It’s not goodbye, it’s see you soon."
With an influence, even using her own means, Luana already has a massive following on social media.
In fact, Luana has partnered with brands for promotional posts, and among other reasons, she is able to continue to captivate her audience, without having to take a swim.
