Sometime in life, you win some, and you lose some. This woman learned the hard way when she pursued what she thought was good for her, but not for her partner.
At an Aventura concert in the Dominican Republic, one woman fulfilled her dream of kissing Romeo Santos, the American singer and frontman of the bachata group.
The moment was captured in front of a large audience, with many fans recording it.
This, understandably, upset her husband to the point where he divorced her.
To make matters worse, she didn’t just landed one kiss—she was practically all over Santos.
In the many videos that have gone viral on the internet, Miriam Cruz, a passionate fan of Santos, is seen hopping onto the stage and greeting each member of Aventura.
The brunette bombshell then shares an extended kiss with Romeo Santos.
The crowd cheers and applauds as Cruz sits next to her idol, with her hand resting on his lap, while the band performs La Guerra. She landed multiple kisses on the singer, on his cheeks and lips.
In short, she was giving Santos, a man who is not her husband, more smooches her husband couldn't bear witnessing.
Although Cruz’s husband of 10 years wasn't at the concert, the footage of the kiss soon made its way to him.
This angered him, and that he filed a divorce.
This was revealed in a now-deleted social media post, where Cruz acknowledged the personal cost of her dream come true.
"I don't know where to begin, but I want to share how happy I am to have achieved this long-desired dream," Cruz expressed on her social media.
However, she also reflected on the consequences of her actions.
"This achievement came at a very high cost: the breakdown of my marriage. I admit that I got carried away by the excitement without considering the impact this would have on my family."
In a message filled with remorse, Cruz publicly apologized to her ex-husband and expressed regret for the pain she caused him.
"From the bottom of my heart, I am very sorry. It was never my intention to hurt you. I just hope that, even though we are separated, we can maintain peace and unity for the sake of our children."

But what's worth noting, a lot of others on social media, many of whom claim to know the couple, suggest that Cruz and her husband had already been facing other issues in their marriage.
It's the kiss that was the final straw.
Cruz herself explained that she “got carried away by nerves and emotion, without considering how this could affect my family.” She now feels “overcome with deep sadness.”
Regardless, she respects her ex-husband’s decision.
But trying to not getting carried away by her sad emotions, Cruz tried to express the happiness that moment on stage has given her.
"For me, it’s not just about admiring the artist, but also about valuing the great human being that he is. I have followed and admired him for a long time."
The internet responded with the news with mixed reactions, but most were against her.
Many users said that divorcing her was the best decision, with others saying that how the relationship nowadays have become so weak that when a wife jumps to another man and people cheered and called it trivial.
"Definitely not acting like a married woman," one commenter said.
Some users said that if cheating was her thing, Cruz should've kissed Santos without millions of people watching.
Those social media users are less harsh, and said that idolizing someone, even sexually attracted to them, is normal, and that kissing them alone shouldn't ruin a 10 year marriage.
