Not everyone in this world can properly push a car to its limit, let alone a sportscar, or a supercar. This makes an F1 car way out of the equation.
Steering the single-seat, open-cockpit, open-wheel formula racing car with substantial front and rear wings, and mid-engine is already a huge feat. The next, is controlling the 1050 horsepower rear-wheel driven vehicle that only weighs 750 kilograms.
Lewis Hamilton is a British racing driver. Not only that he could control the race car and pushed it to the limits, as in 2021, he is also the world's best for 7 years.
Hamilton has won a joint-record of seven World Drivers' Championship titles (tied with Michael Schumacher), until his defeat in a controversial title battle against Max Verstappen.
After what BBC Sport's Andrew Benson described as "one of the most intense, hard-fought battles in sporting history over 22 grands prix", the 2021 title battle between Hamilton and Verstappen was "head and shoulders—and a lot more—clear of every other driver on the grid."
Hamilton who is believed to be devastated at how the F1 title was snatched from him right before his eyes, became so frustrated and furious that he removed everyone he followed on his Instagram account.
When Mercedes-Benz realized that the team lost to Red Bull Racing, the team immediately challenged the decision of the race committee in the Middle East.
The team protested to FIA over the decision and the race result.
The protest was rejected, after which announced its intention to appeal against the decision. However, following the FIA's announcement that it would conduct a "detailed analysis and clarification exercise" of the incident, Mercedes-Benz's protest brought the entire team into huge criticism and accusations of being bad losers.
Realizing that the admission would be "tarnishing the image" of the team and the sport itself, Mercedes decided not to pursue their appeal.
And here Hamilton was under the spotlight, more than ever because of this.
The public saw the British racer as unable to come to terms with the fact that he didn't win his eighth world title in 2021, and lost to Max Verstappen.
And he deliberately showed that by unfollowing everyone, as he seemed to avoid hearing anything about his loss in Abu Dhabi.
While everyone at Mercedes-Benz was disappointed, Hamilton kept his silence at first, before bringing his shock in Abu Dhabi, to Instagram.
While Hamilton only followed a handful of accounts on Instagram, Hamilton in removing everyone and made the counter to drop down to zero, suggestively showed how disappointed he is by the race's result.
Both Hamilton and Mercedes-Benz chief Toto Wolff shunned the FIA's gala prize giving ceremony in Paris.
Wolff is may be as disappointed as Hamilton, but what concerned him more is how the seven-times world champion is going to recover and return for the next season.
"Lewis and I are disillusioned at the moment. We are not disillusioned with the sport - we love the sport with every bone in our body and we love it because the stopwatch never lies. But if we break that fundamental principle of sporting fairness and authenticity, then suddenly the stopwatch doesn't become relevant anymore because we are exposed to random decision-making, it is clear you may fall out of love with it," Wolff said.
"You start to question if all the work you have been putting in - all the sweat, tears and blood - can actually be demonstrated by performance on track, because it can be taken away randomly."
"It's going to take a long time for us to digest what has happened on Sunday, I don't think we will ever get over it. That's not possible. And certainly not as a driver. I very much hope that the two of us and the rest of the team can work through the events but we will never overcome the pain and the distress that was caused on Sunday."
"To be honest, still today I can't even understand what was happening. For me, that still seems like a nightmare."
Mercedes-Benz's loss at the 2021 season was controversial.
Throughout the season, Hamilton and Verstappen were the 2021's favorites. They often sparred on track, and often sparked controversies.
On the lap before the final lap at the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, decisions were made by the race director Michael Masi, who instructed that only the lapped cars separating Verstappen and Hamilton to un-lap themselves under the safety car.
Verstappen was five-lapped cars behind Hamilton after pitting. And this decision by Masi eliminated any gap between the pair.
Verstappen was allowed to line up right behind Hamilton when entering the 58th and final lap of the Grand Prix.
Verstappen whose car was newly-fitted by soft tires, was in a huge advantage over Hamilton whose car was running on worn hard tires. Verstappen quickly blazed fast to pass Hamilton.
"This has been manipulated, man," said Hamilton to his team over the radio, towards the end of the final lap.
Regardless, Hamilton congratulated Verstappen for his win, and kept his feelings to himself, until the moment he unfollowed everyone on Instagram.
The Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff admitted that Hamilton will never get over being 'robbed' of the world title by Michael Masi.
