19-Year-Old TikTok Star Died Shortly After Posting A Content About Dying 'Young'

Mental health issues. Not only that it affects adults, because it also affects many younger generations, including teens.

His name was Cooper Noriega, a 19-year-old TikTok star.

Hours after sharing a cryptic post on TikTok, Cooper was found dead on June 9th, in a Los Angeles parking lot.

Cooper was initially found unconscious inside a car by a passerby who then called 911. But when paramedics arrived at the scene shortly thereafter, they were unable to revive the young star.

According to initial reports by the Los Angeles Medical Examiner-Coroner’s office, there is no signs of trauma on his body, and no foul play is involved.

It all began when Cooper took his thoughts to TikTok, creating a post while laying on a bed.

"Who else b thinking they gon die young af," he said in the caption.

Before that, Cooper was shown expressing his desire to talk about mental health within a trusted community. He also opened up about his struggles with addiction that started when he was 9 years old.

“I mean, we’re talking Xanax, Aderall, marijuana, nicotine,” Cooper once said. "Nine [years old], that’s crazy. I didn’t even know I was playing G.I. Joe when I was 9."

But still, he wanted to change, and he urged his followers who suffer similar pains, to also change for the better.

"I would like to use the influence I've been given to create a space built on spreading awareness and normalizing talking about mental illness," he wrote on Instagram, three days before he was found dead.

"My goal is to eventually open a rehab where people aren't traumatized at the end of their recovery, and where the staff meetings are trusted people. One of the many things I've learnt while struggling with addiction was that surrounding yourself with negative people will only bring you down."

"For that reason this discord is meant to bring us all together and create a safe space where people can vent and help others through their tough times," Cooper continued.

On Discord, Cooper had a group, where he and his followers could share their experiences with mental health.

"If you’re really into getting your emotions out, or whatever, come join," he said. "I created [the server] because of how much I love you guys and how much I struggle with it myself."

"I want you guys to not be alone and [to] feel safe."

Cooper concluded in his Discord post, saying that: "One of the many things I’ve learned while struggling with addiction was that surrounding yourself with negative people will only bring you down. For that reason, Discord is meant to bring us all together and create a safe space where people can vent and help others through their tough times."
