Kim Kardashian, the world-famous celebrity and the billionaire founder of shape-wear brand Skims, had a past she would rather forget.
After all, she is just like everyone else, in which the past may not store the best of memories to recall.
Among the things she thought to have left behind, is the notorious sex tape she shot with her ex-boyfriend Ray J in 2002. She recalled it a fading memory, especially since she is having a family with children.
But this thought was jeopardized when Saint, her six-year-old child, who she shares with Kanye West, was playing the online video game platform Roblox.
Saint is one of the 200 million monthly users who the platform, and one day, the boy saw an advertisement which hinted at an "unreleased footage" from Kim's sex tape, alongside a photo of her crying face.

Kim was distressed, saying that "the last thing I want as a mum is for my past to be brought up 20 years later."
"It’s real embarrassing shit. I need to deal with it, and will deal with it," Kim said,
"I really don’t know what they have."
"For 20 years this has been held over my head, this mistake. Is it a mistake? It was my boyfriend of years. We go on a trip and film a video. It’s embarrassing for that to be out there, but it’s not the most scandalous thing and I will not be made to feel this way."
As Kim is was shown preparing for her hosting gig on Saturday Night Live, she gets a call from her lawyer about the situation.
"I don’t remember anything [about another tape],” she insisted.
"It’s completely illegal. Make [my lawyer] scare the shit out of this guy. I’ll sure for nominal damages. The message is more important than the money. I’m not doing anything wrong. I’m protecting myself for my reputation and my children’s sake."
She also urged her lawyer to start making phone calls to figure the situation out.
"Her legal rights are that she could sue anyone who releases the tape, even if it exists," the lawyer said. "They don’t have legal right to release it without her consent."
Kim tells her lawyer that she’s "99.9% sure" that no other tape exists, but regardless, she is still concerned about the possible 0.1%.

It's worth noting that the incident was recorded in the first episode of "The Kardashians", which premieres on April 14th, 2022.
It all begins when Kim is hosting a family barbecue at her house and her son, Saint West, shows her something that pops up on the iPad he used while playing Roblox.
"There’s a picture of my cry face and it said something in appropriate like, 'Kim’s new sex tape,'" Kim explained. "This is supposed to be unreleased footage of my old sex tape."
Kim’s sex tape with then-boyfriend, Ray J, was released in 2007. But four years later, in 2021, a rumor surfaced that there was previously unreleased footage that would be coming out.
And Kim alleged that some unwanted individuals made use of that rumor to create a click-bait advertisement.
During the episode, Kim was later shown crying to Kanye West on the phone.
"I almost died when Saint thought it was funny," she said.
Fortunately for Kim, Saint innocence saved him from a difficult conversation since he was not able to understand the advertisement he saw on the game.
Kim said that she "would’ve died inside" if Saint was a little bit older and is able to read.
"I can’t go through this again. This was 20 years ago. I’m not going through this again. I know the right attorneys this time, I know exactly what to do this time. I’m not going to let this happen to me again," she said.

While Kim is shown capable of doing anything to prevent any more of her past returning to haunt her, it's worth noting that it was actually her sex tapes that propelled her to fame.
It was the Kim Kardashian, Superstar' Sex Tape that helped her start her billion-dollar Kardashian brand.
Kim used all the exposure she received from the leaked sex tape, as a springboard to become more famous. Using the publicity she garnered, she was able to sell perfumes, pop songs, food, and later her own image when social media started to takeover in the 2010s.
Kim received her first media attention, when she became a friend and the stylist of socialite Paris Hilton. Later, she also appeared as a guest on various episodes of Hilton's reality television series The Simple Life between 2003 and 2006. Beyond that, her presence in showbiz remained relatively quiet.
But Kim's massive boost to stardom only happened after her leaked sex tape.
Following the leak, Kim who just entered the business world with her two sisters, filed a lawsuit against Vivid Entertainment, who distributed her sex tape.
But soon, she dropped the suit, and settled the case for a reported $5 million, allowing Vivid Entertainment to own the copyright of the tape, allowing the release of the footage to its liking.
It was only after that, that the world's eyes were on Kim. Kim utilized the spotlight the media was giving her, to boost both her fame and fortune.
A long while later, during the turmoil that happened between Kim and Kanye, which eventually led to their divorce, Kanye alleged that he saved Kim from another leak.
"I went and got the laptop from Ray J myself that night. […] I gave it to her and she cried when she saw it," he said.
"It represents how much she’s been used. It represents how much people didn’t love her and they just saw her as a commodity."
It's also worth noting that Ray J didn't stay quiet either.
This needs to stop. I also have kids

Besides through his Twitter account, he also brought the matter to Instagram.
"I been staying off the Raydar [sic] – Just staying focused and being humble and thankful for all the blessings I’m receiving. How can I show growth and maturity if this kinda of stuff keeps happening?"
"I’m a father now and my job is to be a great parent and put them first. This is not the message I want to send out – smh."
