When considering the internet and social media network, a business that wants to get the public's attention towards its product, can hire an influencer.
Kim Kardashian is a world-famous celebrity and also an influencer. Having her endorsing a product, may not be cheap, but with her reach that spans the entire world, having her in an advertisement can certainly send a powerful message to the public.
And that is exactly what 'Beyond Meat' is doing.
The company even hired her as its first-ever "Chief Taste Consultant."
When food is a concern, food in an advertisement should not only look appealing to eat, but also "edible."
And Kim somehow failed to fulfill that last one.

Beyond Meat is a Los Angeles-based producer of plant-based meat substitutes, founded in 2009 by Ethan Brown.
The company's products include plant-based options for beef, pork and poultry categories.
Considered the first plant-based meat analogue company to go public, Beyond Meat has approximately 118,000 retail and foodservice outlets in over 80 countries worldwide.
And Kim here, is its brand ambassador.
"We love her authentic and genuine connection to the brand," a spokesperson for Beyond Meat said. "As an icon synonymous with impeccable taste in food, fashion, beauty and more, Kim will highlight the brand’s delicious, nutritious and sustainable product portfolio with her signature recipes and engaging creative content."
"I’ve been focusing on going more plant-based and can tell you that Beyond Meat is my absolute favorite - I love how all their products not only taste amazing but are also good for me and my family," Kim said. "As my fans know, my fridge and freezer are fully stocked with Beyond Meat’s products and I’m so thrilled to be featured in the campaign as its chief taste consultant to inspire people to include Beyond Meat in their diets."
In the advertisement, Kim recited her lines straight to the camera while in a kitchen, as a chef placed a variety of dishes containing the plant-based meat substitute in front of her, saying that she believe so much in the mission of Beyond Meat, "that I’ve stepped in to help with my greatest asset - my taste," the reality star, said in the vegan company’s 30-second video that debuted on Instagram.
Keen-eyed netizens realize that the reality star never eat the food she was served.
First up was a vegan burger cut in half, which Kim held it up to her face while she moved her closed mouth in a chewing-like motion.
Many social media users pointed out, that the sandwich remained intact.
Next, is Kim using a fork to stab a plant-based meatball, which she held up to her face, before squeezing a lime over a plate of tacos.
"This plant-based meat is not only amazingly delicious, but it’s also better for you and better for the planet,” she said as she continued the same fake chewing-like motion.
In other words, many people consider Kim to fake eating the food, and is being publicly criticized for taking zero bites of food by allegedly faking her chew.
It is reported that the news of this sent the company’s shares up as much as 7% before going back down.
Regardless, others were also as quick to praise Kim for using her platform to promote plant-based eating.
