As the CEO of Apple, Tim Cook is the leader of one of the most famous and most profitable company in the world worth more than $3 trillion.
Replacing Steve Jobs, Cook lives a humble life.
Despite being famous, Cook is quite modest, even when he is already considered a billionaire.
But being famous is not easy, as it comes with quite a few issues that come as the side effects of the fame itself.
That is being known by many people, and to have both fans and haters.
And this time, Cook has been stalked by someone who claimed to be his "wife."
It all started when a woman began tagging the Apple CEO in a number of worrying tweets.
For example, she often referred to Cook as her husband, and also the father of her twins.
The woman that seemed to be obsessed with Cook, also demanded other CEO’s stop following him on Twitter.
"I notify you both unfollow each other," she said in one of her tweets, which tagged Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella.
"I can smell, see, and feel both of you. Tim Cook is my bad man. My husband, my twins’ daddy. Stop doing that shit!"
She also took issue with the CEO of Google and Alphabet, Sundar Pichai.
"While we two of us reached our love final decision, and in progress, Sandra Pichia, CEO of Google insisting to interrupt Cook's love and tried to hurt me several times," she said in another tweet.
"Totally understand my husband’s past and relationships with unexpected parties."
Things went more worrying than that.
"I warned and told you stop trying to kill me. You made me to buy this instead of going for Christmas. I will NEVER forgive forget you," she once said.
The woman "drove from Northern Virginia to Palo Alto twice within two months in a Porsche Macan; the second time, in October 2021, she showed up at Cook's home and told security officials that she wanted to speak to Cook. She remained on the property until Palo Alto police arrived on the scene, and said she 'could be violent'."
The stalker reportedly broke into Cook's home at some point.
She even threatened Cook by saying "we do not have to meet. give me 500 millions cash. then I will forget and forgive all better listen to me."
The Virginia woman whose name is Julia Lee Choi has been stalking Cook since October 2020, and has also threatened to burn down Cook's home.
Cook approximately received more than 200 emails from her from October to November 2020, and even received messages which included photos of what appear to be loaded handguns, according to documents.
Choi also started to register fake corporation names described as "highly offensive."
The court said that the messages demonstrated "a significant escalation in tone." Cook's attorney said that some of the messages she said are described as "threatening and highly disturbing," were sexual in nature, and some were plainly violent.
Because of this, the 45-year-old woman is then barred from possessing a gun and isn't allowed in getting within 200 yards of Cook and other Apple employees. She is also prohibited from visiting any Apple property or Cook’s home.
Following the case, and may be by coincidence, both Apple Maps' Look Around feature and Google Maps' Street View have entirely blurred out Tim Cook's home in Palo Alto.
The rather modest home for the CEO of one of the largest tech companies in the world, which is believed to be worth a few million dollars, can no longer be seen.
As part of Apple's request for a restraining order, however, the court filings required Cook to provide his full postal address.
So while Cook has made no secret that he lives in Palo Alto, the exact street name and number become less publicly known until now.
It’s not uncommon to see certain things blurred out inside Apple Maps and Google Maps. Both services conceal things like faces and license plates, and also allow users to blur the property they own or rent.
