#RIPJeremyRenner, As Netizens Want To Kill The MCU's Hawkeye

In the film Avengers: Age of Ultron, Clint Barton tried to calm the troubled Wanda Maximoff in an abandoned house.

He said to her, that while the city is flying and fighting an army or robots, he was only equipped with a bow and arrow.

And "none of this makes sense."

But he was willing to fight because it was his job at the time.

Barton is Hawkeye, a member of The Avengers, a team of extraordinary individuals, with either superpowers or other special characteristics.

In other words, Jeremy Renner's character, the Hawkeye, is a superhero, despite not on the same league as Iron Man, Hulk, or Thor.

And that status, is also a demand in real-life.

People expect Renner to be a superhero, but yet they saw that he failed. This sparked the #RIPHeremyRenner, as netizens want to kill the character from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

In yet another day and another campaign on Twitter, the hashtag began trending, causing much alarm among MCU fans.

The hashtag is being used by Twitter users who call for the Hawkeye star to be cancelled from future projects.

It began back in 2019, when his ex-wife Sonni Pacheco, a Canadian model, gave allegations at the actor, alleging that he was often under the influence of drugs and alcohol during their marriage which led to several violent uncontrollable outbursts, including Renner in threatening to kill her, and even biting their daughter.

Renner was also accused of leaving cocaine in places that their child could access.

On one occasion, Renner had even gone as far as putting a gun in his mouth, saying he wanted to kill himself, and that before firing the gun to the ceiling instead to frighten Pacheco.

Renner denied all allegations, saying that it was Pacheco that is "unstable."

Since then, Pacheco’s claims caused a huge stir, especially when reports suggested that Marvel was planning for Hawkeye's own miniseries.

Ultimately, everything calmed down, until it again resurfaced.

Not only because of portraying a superhero, Renner as a celebrity also made headlines for some infamous moments.

For example, Renner had troubling actions during past interviews, where he used derogatory language, racial slurs and other outdated terms.

When the hashtag became trending, who restarted this campaign against Renner is unknown.

Renner married Pacheco in January 2014. The couple have a daughter.

The divorced was filed on December 2014, with Pacheco citing irreconcilable differences. They share custody of their daughter.
