Dixie D’Amelio saw her TikTok account hacked.
With 46.4 million followers as of writing, she is the sister of the older Charli D’Amelio, who is at this time the most-followed person on the app.
Some of her followers managed to capture the incident in a recording, showing that an alleged hacker went live on Dixie’s account pointing what appeared to be a handgun.
TikTok quickly took action, and disabled the account on December 14.
The hacker mentioned the Chuckling Squad, an infamous hacker group known to have infiltrated the profiles of celebrities like Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey among others.
Another post by the hacker mentioned the Instagram account of @lucifer, who claimed the Chucking Squad was behind the hack.
“Just know ‘chuckling squad’ is back,” the user behind @lucifer told Insider
“[This] will be a daily re occurrence [sic].”
Dixie wasn’t the only member of her family who was seemingly hacked.
Not long after her profile was disabled, her father Marc, also has his TikTok account posting strange videos referencing the @lucifer Instagram account.
The posts also have the hashtag #FuckTheDamelios.
The hackers also threatened to "get Charli’s profile next."
Sister Charli, who was 103 million followers on TikTok, the most of anyone on the app, revealed that her account was disabled. TikTok disabled her account as a precaution, before the hacker could make their move.
“With all of the hacking that has been going on lately, I currently do not have access to my TikTok account just because TikTok locked everyone out of my account,” she explained. “That way nothing would happen to any more of my family’s TikTok accounts.”
